At 4:30pm there is currently no rain in the state at this time. Thunderstorms are expected to develop this evening and overnight which may become severe. There is still a slight risk of severe weather for all of Iowa today, but a moderate risk has been put up NW of the state and most of the severe weather should start in the Dakotas and Western Minnesota and move SE into Iowa.
