At 7:40pm, radar showed a large complex of thunderstorms covering the SE part of Iowa, from that a line of strong to severe thunderstorms streched back NW from Bloomfield to Melrose to Indianola to Dallas Center to Jefferson. Any of these storms (alone the line) could produce heavy rain and winds to 50mph and small hail up to 1/2 inch. Other storms were popping up in and around Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler and Grundy counties as well.
