Early Morning Update

A final update before heading to bed. Thunderstorms have developed along a warm front situated across Southern and southwest Iowa early this morning. This rain is falling in already saturated soils from the heavy amounts that fell the night before. Locally heavy amounts upwards of 2 MORE inches on top of the 4-6 plus inches that fell last night will keep streams and creeks at or over bankfull for most of the night and during the day Friday. These storms should stay south of a Audubon to Fort Madison line through the rest of the night into the morning. Only a few stray light showers or sprinkles will be possible north of that line through sunrise.
