There is a slight risk for Severe Weather in the northern part of Iowa, mainly north of a line from Waukon to Missouri Valley. The further south you are the less of a chance of any thunderstorms occuring as the storms will be building off a stationary front located north of the state.
The main threats from today’s storms will be large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado. Most of the storms will likely be nocturnal storms, meaning that they will be occuring after sunset this evening.
