At 7:45 most of the state of Iowa is enjoying a pleasant evening with temperatures in the 70s. However, showers and thunderstorms continue in other places. A line of showers and embedded thunderstorms extended from West Union to Guttenberg. Another shower was located in Grundy County west of Waterloo. These storms have been slowly dissipating over the last few minutes and should diminish by 10pm. However in the interim, these showers may still produce up to a quarter of an inch of rain in 30 minutes or less.
