5pm Update

The largest thunderstorm in the state is currently moving into Marshalltown with an outflow boundary extending west roughly along US Hwy 30 to Boone. This storm may produce upwards of a half inch of rain in less than 30 minutes pea sized hail and winds to 50mph. This storm is moving SE at 15-20 mph. It should effect the towns of Le Grand, Quarry, Ferguson, Gilman, Dunbar. There was a TORNADO WARNING earlier that I missed. This was for Kossuth and Hancock Counties.

A TORNADO was sighted in Algona at 4:14 and dissipated at 4:28, the storm was relatively weak on radar thus I didn’t give it full attention as other storms in the area were stronger. Thus be aware of your surroundings if a storm comes your way.
