Partly Cloudy skies abound in 95% of the state this afternoon, the other 5% is dealing with pop up showers and thunderstorms. Currently there is a storm over Denison in Crawford County, a line from north of Jefferson to west of Ogden. Another line from Webster City to west of Grundy Center and a few isolated showers along the US Hwy 18 corridor from Mason City west to Algona. These storms are moving slowly to the east. Where it rains you can get a quick 1/4 of an inch of rain, some of the stronger cells may have pea sized hail with them and gusty winds to 40 mph. These storms should die away after sundown this evening.
