All of Iowa, Severe Weather

Looking Off to the West

A Few Severe Thunderstorms are located in eastern Nebraska. They are moving SE at between 15-25 mph. The storms should miss most of Iowa except for areas south of Council Bluffs. That’s if the storms hold together. There’s only a slight chance of Thunderstorms today in the western part of Iowa, otherwise the rest of the state should remain dry with temperatures in the 80s to lower 90s in the west. Also the Storm Prediction Center has outlined a slight risk of Severe Weather for Sunday and Monday for Iowa. Whereas the chances are lower than they were on Wednesday, the risk is still the same, large hail and damaging winds being the main threats with the storms on Sunday and Monday.
