The Tornado that touched down near Van Horne yesterday was rated EF1 by the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities. It touched down at 5:10 PM, 2 miles east of Van Horne and was on the ground for 1 mile with estimated winds at 90 mph. It destroyed grain bins and some machine sheds, tore a roof of a hog confinement lot and partially tore a roof of a barn.
