Midday Update

The Cold Front is sitauted into Northwest Iowa at this hour. A wind shift line is located ahead of the front from Mason City to Fort Dodge to Sioux City. Everywhere north of that line should see less of a chance of Severe Weather today, however the dew points in those areas haven’t yet dropped off so thunderstorms that are non-severe may still yet develop. A few scattered showers were located between Waterloo and Marshalltown, From Oelwein back to Readlyn in southern Fayette and southern Bremer counties and between Ottumwa and Iowa City. Temperatures have already climbed into the Mid 80s with Heat Indices over 90.
