Strong winds are currently moving through Iowa this afternoon. A Wind Advisory is in effect for central into Northwest Iowa. Along with the strong winds out of the northwest, a drier and much cooler weather regime has moved in as well. Temperatures at 4pm were ranging from 62 in Spencer to 82 in Keokuk. Some showers are moving through the northern part of the state mainly north of US Hwy 20. These should dissiapte toward sunset. Dew Points are in the upper 40s to upper 50s throughout the state at this hour. It’s a good day to go spend it outdoors. Tonight temperatures should fall into the 50s to near 60 far SE.
