The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been cancelled for the entire Quad Cities CWA. It’s only in effect until 1am for portions of NE Iowa and a small portion of south central Iowa. This will likely be cancelled as well before the expiration time.

Storms were weakening but still capable of producing moderate to heavy rain and dangerous lightning. I can attest to the lightning as I had to get off when I had a power surge at my location in Springville about an hour ago. Most of the rain was in the tri-state region around Dubuque and areas of Jefferson, Henry, Van Buren and Lee Counties between Ottumwa and Burlington. There is currently no warnings in effect in Iowa.
