Severe Weather Outlook June 27th

SPC has come out with their Day 1 Outlook for Today (Friday) A slight risk of Severe Weather exists for the eastern 4/5ths of Iowa, mainly east of US 59. The main threats are going to be large hail and damaging winds. There is an isolated threat of tornadoes as well though not very likely. This all depends on what happens with the ongoing storms moving through Nebraska and Kansas and South Dakota. Whether or not those storms stick together or fall apart will make a big difference on how unstable the atmosphere will be later this afternoon.
