A New Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued until 5:00 AM Friday for portions of Iowa and adjoining states of Minnesota, South Dakota and Nebraska. The counties in Iowa include Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Fremont, Harrison, Ida, Lyon, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, O’Brien, Osceola, Page, Plymouth, Pottawattamie, Shelby, Sioux and Woodbury.

This would include cities like Council Bluffs, Sioux City and Spencer.

There is a large squall line situated from west of Norfolk NE southward to Lexington NE, and then southward into North Central Kansas, other supercellular storms were located in Central South Dakota, moving Southeast. These storms have been tornado warned.
