Severe Weather

1:30 and Final Update of Night

The outflow boundary from the once severe thunderstorms in Nebraska has blown into Iowa.  Omaha’s radar shows the outflow boundary located along a line extending from Solider (Monona County) to McCelland (Pottawattamie County) to Hamburg (Fremont County). The storms in Nebraska seem to be dying down and moving at a much slower pace than previously thought. The showers and isolated thunderstorms in NW Iowa will continue moving ESE. Some severe thunderstorms were in SE South Dakota west of Sioux Falls. They have shown signs of weakening as well. The boundary SE of Des Moines to Kirksville has initiated a storm in Northern MO, NE of Kirksville. This storm is moving East and should not effect any county in Iowa. In case of any warning during the night make sure you have your NOAA Weather Radio on Standby if you’re under the Thunderstorm Watch until 5am.

Have a good Night.
